GYMNASTICS event competition will be on May 12-16, 2018 at the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex. Contact Ms. Anamae Ancheta for further info at nos. (mobile ) 0918-2215562 (landline) 521-2640. Extension in submitting the forms for Gymnastics is until May 7, 2018.


Deadline of submission of Form B and Gallery is extended until April 16, 2018. Deadline shall be strictly enforced.

 GENERAL GUIDELINES

I. ELIGIBILITY FOR PARTICIPATION

1. The 2018 Philippine National Games is a multi-sport competition for Filipinos aged 16 years and above.  Athletes born in  the year 2001 and before may participate.

2. An athlete should participate as a member of the official delegation of a province or chartered city.  Municipal and barangay-level endorsements of athletes shall NOT be accepted.

3. An athlete should be a Filipino citizen, whether by birth or naturalization.  A Fil-foreign athlete may participate as long as he/she represents a particular LGU (birthplace of Filipino parent).

4. Participation in the PNG is for free (no entry/participation fee to be collected).

 II. FORMS AND DOCUMENTS FOR SUBMISSION

1. PNG Entry Form A (Entry by Number per Sport) certified by the LGU Head or Administrator indicating the numbers of the following:

        1. Participating athletes per sport
        2. Coaches per sport
        3. Delegation officials

2. PNG Entry Form A-1 (Entry by Number per Event)

3. PNG Entry Form B (Entry by Name per Event) with affixed LGU dry seal indicating the following:

        1. Names of participating athletes per event (based on birth certificate)
        2. Ages of participating athletes per event

4. Medical Clearance and Waiver of Liability Form to be signed by the athlete and a licensed physician

5. Certified true copy of athlete’s birth certificate issued by the National Statistics Office or the local Civil Registrar

Participating LGUs may submit their PNG Entry Forms A and A-1 only once.  Submitted PNG Entry Forms A and A-1 must contain all the requested data or these will NOT be acknowledged.

Failure to comply with deadline of submission for PNG Entry Forms A and A-1 will disqualify the LGU from access to PNG Entry Form B and participation in the games.

Participating LGUs may submit their PNG Entry Form B only once.  Submitted LGU Entry Forms B must contain all the requested data or these will NOT be acknowledged.  A delegation’s PNG Entry Form B must also reflect the same or less number of delegates provided in its submitted PNG Entry Forms A and A-1.

Supporting documents such as Medical Clearance, Waiver of Liability Form and Birth Certificates of participating athletes shall be sent via courier to the following postal address:

7. Substitution of athletes shall be allowed only if the athlete is to be replaced because of injury/illness and his/her substitute is playing the same event.  Substitution of athletes for other reasons shall NOT be allowed.  Substitution of athletes on-site will NOT be accepted.  Substitution of athletes qualified for the National Finals will NOT be allowed.

8. Late submission of entries and on-site registration will NOT be allowed.

 IV. SUBSIDIES

1. Subsidies will NOT be provided. The LGU is expected to shoulder its expenses for participation in the games. 

 V. PROTESTS AND APPEALS DURING THE GAMES

      A. PROTESTS

1. All participating LGUs may file formal protests with the 2017 Philippine National Games Secretariat regarding athletes’ eligibility (age requirement) and game/match results only.

2. Petitioning LGUs shall submit an accomplished Protest Form to be provided by the Games Secretariat addressed to the 2017 Philippine National Games Executive Committee for action.

3. Any documents to support protest on an athlete’s eligibility except birth certificate shall be attached to the Protest Form.

4. The protest must be signed by the Head of Delegation only.  Filed protests signed by any other delegation official, coach or parent will not be accepted.  Athletes are NOT allowed to file any protests.

5. The Protest Form must be submitted in two (2) copies to the Protest and Appeals Committee.

6. The protest must be filed twenty-four (24) hours before the athlete is to compete in his/her event’s elimination round/phase.

7. A protest fee of Five Thousand Pesos (Php5,000.00) shall be paid by the petitioning LGU. Said fee shall be refunded if ruling is in favor of the petitioning LGU.

8. All protests are to be entertained during the games only.

B. APPEALS

1. All participating LGUs may file formal appeals with the 2017 Philippine National Games Secretariat on decisions on protests regarding game/match results and officiating.

2. Petitioning LGUs shall submit an accomplished Appeals Form addressed to the Philippine Sports Commission’s Board of Commissioners for action.

3. The following documents shall serve as supporting attachments for the appeal:

        • Name of athlete/s, technical official/s, and LGU/s concerned
        • Copy of official game/match result certified by Tournament Management
        • Copy of the protest decision rendered by the Tournament Manager

4. The appeal must be signed by the Head of Delegation only.  Filed appeals signed by any other delegation official, coach, or parent will NOT be accepted.  Athletes are NOT allowed to file any appeals.

5. The Appeals Form must be submitted in two (2) copies to the Protest and Appeals Committee.

6. The appeal must be filed within sixty (60) minutes after the decision has been rendered.

7. A non-refundable appeal fee of Ten Thousand Pesos (Php10,000.00) shall be paid by the petitioning LGU.

8. The PSC Board of Commissioners shall deliberate on the appeal and render their decision on the same through writing within twenty (20) calendar days after receipt of the appeal.
